Maxwell Dance Teacher Spotlight – Liz
Next Maxwell Dance Teacher Spotlight is Miss Liz! She started dancing when she was two at Extravadance dance studio. Starting at the age of five, she joined their competition teams and competed from then clear through 9th grade. From 10-12th grades, she was on the Summit Academy High School drill team and was able to be captain her senior year! She has trained in many styles, including ballet, jazz, hip-hop, lyrical, contemporary, and tumbling.
Miss Liz met her husband Cameron in January of 2021. They officially started dating a month later and spent two wonderful and amazing years dating. He proposed on their anniversary in 2023 (aaaw!), and they were married in June 2023! They just hit seven months! They are currently trying to settle into married life and save money before they grow their family further.
She has wanted to be a dance teacher for as long as she can remember! At the studio, she specialize in tumbling, but her favorite styles of dance are jazz and lyrical. Her other career dreams have bounced back and forth from teaching to being a mathematician to working in the culinary field. All such fun choices! For now, she teaches at a preschool and bakes and decorates cakes for her family and friends.
Ready for some awesome crazy facts? Miss Liz loves to read because she can feel fully submerged into the book universe and the book she is reading. Fantasy books are her very favorite, especially if they have some romance too! Her husband tells her that she has too many books, but she keeps buying more anyway! She is obsessed with Harry Potter, and her favorite ship is Draco and Hermione.. what?? Also, she collects decks of cards. She has around 50 of them now of all different styles and colors. Her favorite food is chicken nuggets, and she absolutely hates mashed potatoes.
